Meet the Doctors

Dr. Paul Johnson III

Dr. Paul Johnson is dedicated to orthodontic excellence and providing compassionate care. He has built a reputation for kind, gentle care and for taking his time to obtain optimal treatment outcomes and beautiful smiles that his patients deserve.

Dr. Johnson stays on the leading edge of orthodontic and dental technology and believes that a commitment to excellence for his patients and community requires lifelong education and training. Dr. Johnson spends much of his free time attending many orthodontic/ dental study groups and enjoys traveling to participate in continuing education seminars across the country and abroad.

Following graduation with honors from the University of North Carolina, he attended Dental School at Boston University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He continued his orthodontic training at one of the most competitive residencies in the country, Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

Dr. Johnson, his wife Jill, and their two boys, Miles and Brady, reside in and love being part of the Manchester community. When he’s not working on patients’ smiles, Dr. Johnson can be found spending time with his kids, playing basketball, traveling, and enjoying his second passion, skiing.

Dr. William Mehan

Since he began practicing more than 40 years ago, Dr. Mehan has considered it both an honor and a privilege to have helped so many people achieve healthy, stunning smiles. To this day, he embraces all the challenges and rewards that come with the territory of being an orthodontist, and his enthusiasm for providing orthodontic care is unmatched in the community. That passion spreads to everyone here at Mehan and Johnson Orthodontics! Dr. Mehan feels fortunate to have a profession that allows him to care for people from all walks of life.

After graduating cum laude from the Tufts School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Mehan received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1970 before earning his Master of Science in Orthodontics degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1976. After spending a year learning to treat compromised children at Boston Floating Hospital, he spent several years in Greece and Norway practicing children’s dentistry before returning to the United States to open his own practice.

Dr. Mehan loves spending time with his wife, two sons, two daughters, and his four beautiful grandchildren. He also stays active by boating, waterskiing, and snow skiing.
